Tenax Proseal is a solvent-based, natural-effect impregnating sealer for natural and engineered stone. It penetrates without creating a surface film, helping repel oil- and water-based staining while preserving the material’s natural appearance and breathability. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use on polished, honed, brushed and matte finishes.
Proseal is intended for granite, marble, quartzite, engineered stone, limestone, onyx, concrete, sandstone, slate, terrazzo, travertine and quartz. Typical applications include countertops, showers, patios, outdoor bars, pool coping, pavers and grout. Protection can last up to four or five years in areas that are not subject to heavy wear, depending on material, exposure and maintenance.
Test first, then clean the surface and allow it to dry completely. Apply evenly with a brush, sponge, cloth or spray gun until absorption stops. Remove excess and buff with a clean cloth after approximately 4–5 minutes to prevent glossy or sticky residue. Apply another coat after 10–15 minutes when required and allow 24 hours for full protection before use.
One liter covers approximately 215–323 sq. ft., depending on porosity. Recommended application temperature is 50–95°F. Proseal does not protect marble against acid etching; wine, citrus, tomato, coffee and other acidic materials may still etch calcite-based stone. Follow the current label and SDS for ventilation, storage and safe handling.
